Downtown Seattle from Pioneer Square
“Downtown Seattle from Pioneer Square” Watercolor 10 x 7 in.
Portrait of David Byrne
“Portrait of David Byrne” is an oil painting on 7x10 in. paper. For this I painted it in black and white, then after it dried, I came back with a thin color glaze.
Mr. Lilly
“Mr. Lilly” is an acrylic painting on paper, 11x14 inches. I thought it would look interesting to see what a businessman would look like with flower for a head. Here he is powerful and just walks down the middle of 2nd Avenue.
Johnny Cash Screen Print
Screen printing a 4-color Johnny Cash design onto white cotton fabric.
New Handmade Journal "Rosie"
Fabulous hand-made A5 journals. I screen printed the image on the covers onto 100% cotton. The pages are fountain pen friendly and are Smyth sewn.
Summer Fashion
“summer Fashion” Ink blotter and watercolor, 7x 10 in. For the black, I used the ink bladder transfer method that And Warhol used in his illustrations in the late 1950s, them I colored it with watercolor.
Charlie Caplin & Edna Purviance
Here I was messing around with my Epson Stylus 3880 printer. First, using a light pad, I painted the colors with acrylic paint. Then I printed the black on top in a process similar to the one Andy Warhol used for his screen printing.
